چکیده
We aimed to evaluate the effect of degree cervical dilatation during physical examination-indicated cerclage presenting with premature and bulging fetal membranes on subsequent neonatal outcomes. Throughout a 10-year period, 72 singleton pregnancies in tertiary unit were included divided into two according pre-cerclage dilatation: Group 1 (n = 33) group 2 39) ≤3 cm > 3 cm, respectively. Latency gestational age at delivery, birth weight, morbidity mortality compared across groups. Logistic regression was used delineate independent mortality. Baseline data including maternal age, parity, previous preterm leukocyte count, similar (p>0.05) had higher delivery rate ≤ 28 weeks gestation (P 0.007) lower mean weight 0.002), increased latency period (90±55 days versus 52±54 days, p=0.005). NICU requirement, respiratory distress syndrome, jaundice sepsis, retinopathy prematurity more frequent 0.006, p 0.009, 0.021, 0.018, respectively). Neonatal (52.6% 24.2%, 0.015) intact survival (23.1% 48.4%, 0.013) 2, whereas rates cerebral palsy (8% 9%, respectively) between groups 0.64). Gestational 0.003) but not 0.37) independently associated Advanced is earlier leading mortality, although medium-term poor neurological outcomes seem unaltered.
